Information about the eclipse 是次日食資料

An annular solar eclipse will take place in the Northern Hemisphere on June 10, this time with a bias towards the polar regions. The moon's antumbra will strike Earth near 09:50 UTC (17:50 HKT) that day in Ontario, Canada. It then moves northeast turning to north towards northeastern Canada and northwestern Greenland. Greatest eclipse will occur just after 10:40 UTC (18:40 HKT) at a latitude of over 80°N; the antumbral shadow will continue to move north and reach the North Pole at about 11:00 UTC (19:00 HKT). After visiting the pole, the antumbra will race south towards the other side of the globe, reaching northern Russia around 25 minutes later. The shadow will lift off the Earth's surface before 11:35 UTC (19:35 HKT) as the sun sets in northeastern Russia.

Because the lunar shadow travels over high latitudes and due to the low magnitude of this annular eclipse, the Earth's curvature creates an extraordinarily wide path of annularity in excess of 500 km. A partial eclipse can be seen over northern and northeastern Canada, northeastern United States, Greenland, most of northern and central Europe, and most of northern and central Asia.

The hybrid solar eclipse in 2023 will appear as a very slight partial eclipse in Hong Kong, hardly visible with the naked eye.
