22W intensified into a tropical storm briefly last night but weakened again today. It has just made landfall at Vietnam. At 20 HKT, 22W was centred about 300 km (160 NM) S of Hanoi.

Disturbance 94W drifted westward in the past few days and managed to intensity into a tropical depression (22W) before touching Vietnam. At 20 HKT, 22W was centred about 270 km (140 NM) SE of Hanoi.
