TRAMI is moving northwards along the western periphery of the subtropical ridge. It is expected to turn west in the next 24 hours as it reaches the ridge's southern edge, passing in close proximity to Taipei tomorrow night. It will continue to move W and is expected to make landfall at Fujian.

12W is situated in the northern periphery of an equatorial ridge. It is expected to move E slowly in the next 24 hours. Thereafter the subtropical ridge is expected to extend and push the storm back to the west. Interactions with 13W in close proximity will also help in this cyclonic motion.

12W is gradually organizing itself. It is expected to intensify in a low shear environment with supply of moisture from the south although its northern channels could be slightly blocked by the presence of a weaker 13W. At later taus, 12W should become the dominating system between the two.
