Overview 總覽

A subtropical cyclone in northwestern Pacific gained tropical characteristics yesterday. The JMA considered the system a tropical storm earlier today and assigned it the name LUPIT. At 2 pm, LUPIT was centred about 1820 km (980 NM) E of Tokyo.

位於西北太平洋的一個副熱帶氣旋於昨日漸轉為熱帶氣旋，日本氣象廳今天較早時將其定性為熱帶風暴，並給予名稱盧碧。在下午 2 時，盧碧集結在東京以東約 1820 公里 (980 海里)。

Movement Analysis 路徑分析

LUPIT is moving NNE along the western periphery of the subtropical ridge. The ridge is expected to extend westward north of LUPIT soon, causing the storm to move N or NNW. Steering is strong and LUPIT will continue to move quickly in the next 24 hours.

盧碧正沿副熱帶高壓脊西部向東北偏北移動。預料該脊即將於盧碧以北向西伸展，令風暴向北或西北偏北移動。由於流場較為強勁，盧碧將於未來 24 小時繼續以較高速度移動。

Wind field analysis shows that LUPIT has a well-defined low-level circulation centre, with strongest winds in its southeastern periphery. The storm is however entering a region of high vertical wind shear. It is expected that LUPIT will gradually transform into an extratropical cyclone over the next 24 hours, maintaining its current intensity.
