Overview 總覽

19W intensified into a tropical storm prior to landfall and was named RAI by the JMA. RAI made landfall in central Vietnam earlier today and is now crossing Indochina. At 8 am, RAI was centred about 95 km (50 NM) WSW of Da Nang.

TC Naming 氣旋命名

RAI is the 107th name in the tropical cyclone name list. It was contributed by Micronesia, and is the stone money used in Yap. This name replaced FANAPI which caused massive damage in Taiwan and southern China in 2010.
