Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing mainly fine weather to
Guangdong. Besides, the cold front over central China is
moving southwards gradually. It is expected to move across
the coast of Guangdong tonight to early tomorrow.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 22
degrees. Dry during the day with a maximum temperature of
around 27 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of
degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate east to
northeasterly winds. Becoming cloudy with fresh northerlies
at night, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : It will be appreciably cooler and windy on
Tuesday. Temperatures will drop to about 14 degrees in the
urban areas on Wednesday, and it will be cold over parts of
the New Territories. The weather will improve gradually in
the latter part of this week. It will be very dry during the
day. Daytime temperatures will rise progressively. However,
it will remain cool in the morning.

General Situation: A cold front will move across the coast of Guangdong tonight to early tomorrow. Under the influence of the associated intense northeast monsoon and a broad band of clouds, it will be windy and appreciably cooler over the region midweek this week, it will be cold over inland areas. The broad band of clouds is expected to thin out in the latter part of this week. Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will also moderate progressively, the weather will improve with temperatures rising gradually over southern China. However, it will still be cool in the morning. Under the persistent influence of a replenishment of the dry northeast monsoon, it will be generally fine over southern China early next week. The temperature difference between day and night will be rather large.
